The Bohemian city of Praha offers the best of Germanic culture without the uptightness. At  Smíchovský radniční sklípek in the neighborhood of Prague 5, a pound of pork knuckle and enough dumplings to soak up a barrel of pivo can be had for around 10 €. A pint of the neighborhood beer, Staropramen, should run you around 2 €.
